☆UTAMA's April Election & General Meeting!!☆

The time is here, dear friends -- the 2016-2017 year is coming to a close, and that means it's time to vote on a new exec team for 2017-2018. Come out to OISE 4414 on Thursday, April 13 at 6PM for our election and general meeting! (ﾉ･ｪ･)ﾉ

If you plan to run, be sure to submit your application to utamaelection2017@gmail.com by midnight on Wednesday, April 12. Details can be found in the pinned post in the UTAMA group and candidates will be announced on this event page after midnight on Wednesday, April 12. The following positions are up for grabs:

President
Vice President Internal
Vice President External
Treasurer
Secretary
Events Coordinator
Communications Coordinator
Technical Coordinator

Candidates will be giving speeches (2 mins. for presidential candidates, 1 min. for everyone else) prior to voting. Additionally, you can only run for ONE position, so make sure you choose carefully! For any questions regarding the election process or what these roles entail, or if you are unable to make it out to the GM and plan to run (we understand exam season is busy!), please contact Joey or Han ASAP. ₍₍ (ง ˙ω˙)ว ⁾⁾

Also happening at this GM will be our raffle for an amazing Rem Nendoroid! ฅ(*°ω°*ฅ) You'll be able to purchase raffle tickets at the GM, so if you haven't done so yet, be sure to get on that because tickets are going fast!!! Remember:

1 ticket = $1
6 tickets = $5
15 tickets = $10

Aside from all this, we'll still be hosting games and serving refreshments, so be sure to come out to one of our last events of the school year for a fun time. See you there!!!!!!! (=ↀωↀ=)✧

UTAMA's March School Festival General Meeting!

It's been a little while, UTAMA -- take a break from your assignments and come out to our school festival-themed GM on Friday, March 31 in OISE 4414!! ╭( ･ㅂ･)و

This very special GM will feature some extra fun and unique games, beautiful decorations made by our very own UTAMA Studio, and, of course, refreshments! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Additionally, we have a couple of SUPER EXCITING EXTREMELY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS being made at the GM that you 100% will not want to miss!!!!! ୧(☉□☉)୨

January GM!

Hello friends and happy new year! o(〃＾▽＾〃)o School is back in session and that means so is UTAMA. Come join us on January 20th from 6-9PM for a welcome back party, featuring games, refreshments, and maybe even a special performance from our light music club! (ﾉ> ◇ <)ﾉ♪ New members are welcome for the new year, so half-year memberships will be sold at the GM. Tokyo Godfathers + White Elephant Gift Exchange

Exam season is a busy time, but it's also a time for joy, celebration, and relaxation. Come de-stress with your friends at UTAMA with a very special screening of Satoshi Kon's masterpiece, Tokyo Godfathers, and a special White Elephant Gift Exchange!

What is a White Elephant Gift Exchange, you may ask? Very good question! A White Elephant Gift Exchange is a type of Secret Santa where each player brings a gift to contribute to a pool and players take turns choosing gifts -- either from the pool or they have the option to steal others' gifts until all of them are taken. Gifts purchased MUST be within a price range of $10-20 and it bears mentioning that you do NOT have to play Secret Santa to attend the screening -- you can come out for either the movie, or the Secret Santa, or both.

Art and Anime Tour!

Come join UTAMA Studio as we tour the area's arts and anime shops! We'll be checking out a ton of local spots you might not have known about, starting with A & C Games at 1PM, so bring your wallet or at least your curiosity. (✧∀✧)

We'll be going for ramen afterwards too, so don't forget to take some money and an appetite~ If you have accessibility concerns, special dietary needs, or other questions, feel free to ask! ╰(*´︶`*)╯
