Bunnies out this morning
I put a whole whack of bunnies out on the lawn today.
Good to give them exercise.
Biscuit and her kits are out.
Slip is out with all the young girls (it is SO nice to have an older doe who is so accepting of young does)
Minx is out.
and is Sera.
The remaining kits from Peek are out.
as are all the young boys.
Nice to have bunnies outside.

She can go as soon as her fosters are old enough to wean.
She is 1 year 11 months old.
She has had several successful litters, and always produces something.
I am tempted to try to get one more litter out of her, but am willing to let go.

This lad is for sale.
He's a tiny lad. Full of character and energy. It is very difficult to get a pic of him standing still.
He is six months old, so a young senior.
he has not been shown as he was too young to bring to the last show of the season last year.
$20.

For those liking a critique of positives... he has a bold, beautiful head. Excellent head. He's a bit narrow, and his hind end is a bit weak.

Magic - kindles, March 22, 2012
Magic, a polish doe, bred to Rustic gave me five kits. Only one survived birth.
One kit overly large, one kit normal sized, two peanuts. the remaining kit is moderate in size. Fostered to kits to it to keep it warm overnight. Hoping that Pixie kindles overnight and if so will foster that kit to her.

Magic had one singleton kit today.
Lovely little broken black.
Unfortunately it was born dead.
Dad was Popper.
Disappointing. Glad she came through the delivery okay.
Will breed her back in the next couple of days.

Dusty came into the house yesterday, gave me four kits this afternoon. Three alive, all look to be brokens. One teeny tiny kit born DOA.

One looks to have been stomped, another was big and looked to have been pulled out via teeth.
The poor nest building skills made for the three remaining to be scattered.

Two chocolate kits, fostering one from Bella so everyone stays nice and warm.

New Bunnies
So I heard from a rabbit friend that a rabbit lady was selling out some of her bunnies, so I contacted her.
I have four new polish in my herd and helped another rabbit breeder get a buck. :)
I have Jade, Popper, Magic and Tara.
Jade is chocolate, broodsize, proven doe.
Popper is a lovely broken black buck.
Magic is a nice black doe.
Tara is a broken blue doe that I don't really need, but can find a good use for. :) and will add more broken to my herd which I prefer.
Jade and Tara have had no issues adjusting to life in my herd. Magic and Popper have both needed some encouragement to believe that life here will be okay (I gave them some parsley and carrots and some probiotics to give them a kick start).
They come from Diane of Sunnyheights Rabbitry.
Betty has once again missed in breeding. She gets one more kick at the can before she heads off to a pet home. It's a crying shame as she is a lovely young doe, but keeping an non-productive doe simply doesn't work long term for me.
